U! Marketing is on FIYA!

So its my second week at U! Marketing. Nothing much has changed. Still washing cars, and looking after Andruw’s dog, “Lucky”. But I think I’m doing a great job, so hopefully I get a promotion working as a “Coffee Fetcher”.

I come into the office everyday with a big smile on my face, working under high powered fluorescent light in a window-less room, getting picked on because I am an intern. There are new clients and projects for me to tackle, such as designing a logo for a rap band called “Chocolate $ity” to coming up with feature sheet concepts for Royal LePage.

So really, there isn’t much of a change compared to the first week other than the increase work load given to me by Andruw and Heather.

Increase work load = More confidence in me? Challenging me? Pushing me to the limits? Proving myself? Or just plain old, “Work I don’t want to do, so pass it to the intern”. What ever it is, I’m gaining valuable experience to help me become successful in the real world.

All in all it has be an awesome week at U! Marketing…as always.

Oh, meet the newly upgraded U! Marketing Team!

U! Marketing? More like D! Marketing

So it’s been my first week at U! Marketing, and I must say, it has been an awesome week. I’ve done lots, like washing cars, baby sat Andruw’s cat, to doing Heather’s laundry. I’m learning to be selfless and generous. Just kidding! My primary job at U! Marketing consist of using my epic artistic and “Grafika” skills to create business cards, logos, and websites. “Grafika” is a new term that I have created that means designing beyond limits and boundaries (maybe others will catch on?). Anyways, I spend most of my day in a “window-less” room, slaving under fluorescent light working away on my mac, listening to indie music. Life’s Great! I am currently working on business card, and logo concepts. Clients include Royal LePage, Cafe E, Double Platinum, and much more.

Office life is fun, we usually talk about current ads, life stories, and experiences. Sometimes if we feel hardcore, we bring out “Twister”, “Guess who” and a large collection of “Mad Libs”. All in all, it’s been a successful week  filled with valuable experience, skills, and memories.

And as for this picture, it’s self explanatory. I’m so awesome that there are constant nuclear explosions around me, with flying pigeons in the background, with random zoo animals (Giraffe and Rhino) looking up to me.
